The Epping Watson Academy Senior Citizens Club is close to 10 years being incorporated in October, 1999. Our home in the Watson Academy Building where we meet the second Thursday of every month begininging at 1:00 P.M.
The purpose of the Club is to provide enterainment, leisure and educational opportunities for cititzens over the age of 55. One of the Club's primary goals is to "give back" to the community and others. Senior Citiznes have experience, knowledge and time to share. A few of the projects are: care packages for the soldiers, the Epping Food Pantry, Toys for Tots, Rockingham Nursing Home, Day of Caring, volunteering in the Community and many more.
Monthly programs vary from attornies, pharmacist, collectors, crafters, musicians, police and fire personal and much more. Several ventures are planned for each month including tours, lunches, and museums.
Annual events include the April Yard Sale, the Christmas Party and the yearly visist to the sixth grade to talk about World War II. Thanks to teacher Susan McGeough.
Many of the Club members attended High School in the Watson Academy where we enter the same doors and walk the same stairs for more then fifty years.
We sincerely appreciate being a a part of the community and hope to be involved for many years to come. Thank you.
